Court Line Shipping
Was just trawling the Net, and came across this old Shipping Company, and wondering if there may be any here who could have served on any of their Ships. I ask as we do not show any Court Line Sub Forum, so just wondering?
Would be interesting to find out any experiences by anyone who served with them.
Cheers

Re: Court Line Shipping
HALYCON THE GREAT was detained in Canada.
The Captain called a meeting of the crew and suggested that they should make a run for, if not the would be detained for weeks, all agreed to try and make a run for.
The crew engaged the help of the dockers in their escape.

Re: Court Line Shipping
Thanks Vic , I was sure that vessel you named did a runner.
It is very seldom these days that we hear of large ships being stolen from their owners and being chased by the authorities. About the closest we have come was last year when the British tanker Halcyon The Great was sneaked away from Canadian waters to avoid seizure over an unpaid bunkers bill, the cause of the whole escapade being the bankruptcy of her owners, the Court Line.
