The Yamaska Park was my father's last ship at the end of WW2. He was transferred as 2/E with Master, Mate, C/E to the Canadian MN to take over from the shipbuilder near Montreal. Only expected to last one trip it was only deleted in 1992 after Chinese service.

Re: The British Trampship.
#20, John, I believe the Pulborough was completed in 65, she was built in Blyth shipyard. She would have been one of the last ships to have been built there, the last one being the Rogate for Stevie Clarks.
The yard closed in 66, the workforce were on their annual holidays when the closure was announced

Re: The British Trampship.
#21 Ken my book on tramps picking salient points correct or not maybe the way I copied them out…Yamaska 7171/g 1944. Completed as Yamasaka Park. marine Industries / Dominion is mentioned 1952 -53 also Canadian Government. She was also managed by Furness Withy of Montreal to the MOT on B/B 1946 and by Novocastria Co.Ltd in 1949 , then W.H. seager and Co. Ltd. 1953 managed by Lambert Bros, 1959 Gunn- Dah Lien Shipping Ltd. Hong British Flag.also 1959 Hoping -San Shi / people’s Republic of China
1967 reported renamed Zhan Dou
1973 To China Ocean Shipping Co RC. Flag.
1979 to Gov. people’s Republic RC flag.
Existence in doubt beyond 1990/91.
All errors in above will no doubt due to my interpretation of the written word . But she certainly earned her money no doubt on her longevity. Cheers JS
