Re: Deck Certification
I see in the news, that the Mayor of one town that these illegals ship out from, is complaining about them messing his life up. He say's it's due to the UK being so welcoming to illegals, that they are crowding out his town. I think he has a genuine point.

Going back some years, Germany was the destination of choice because their benefits were the best at that time; the tide turned in our direction a good while back when we became more generous. I recall being in Glasgow in early 2000s when there as a near riot in East Glasgow due to asylum seekers/ refugees/ whatever being given flats with everything provided, fridges, cookers down to last knife and fork in a high rise, when there were folks in the same building with nothing near what was being handed out and no hope of being given anything.

Re: Deck Certification
WE had a couple of boats attempt to land here in Oz last week.
But we got them, off to Christmas island offshore where they may stay for up to ten years in detention.
Then we might send them back to where they came from.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Deck Certification
With reference to certification for the deck the last two questions asked by examiners and their replies I found quiet humerous , as this was the last exam of 1963 and completion of having to spread the midnight oil it gave impetus to my finish of sitting for examinations .
1. Orals.. examiner, you are lying in poor holding ground with 6 shackles out , the wind freshens and veers 2 points and you start to drag what do you do ? Candidate , pay out more cable . examiner the wind freshens and backs 4 points and you continue to drag ? Candidate . Lay another anchor Sir, ! .very good says the examiner . Wind is now gale force and you continue to drag . ? pay out more cable says the Candidate . Examiner the low of the depression passes over you and the wind comes from the opposite direction. What do you do now as are still dragging. ? Candidate to examiner lay another anchor Sir ! Examiner to Candidate where are you getting all these anchors from ? Candidate to examiner , the same place you’re getting all these winds from.! Examiner to Candidate close the door quietly on your way out.
Another Candidate think it was the stability paper which he got stuck on , hope it wasn’t the same one or he will still be doing his extra seatime. Writes on the paper God knows the Answer to this question I don’t, Merry Xmas . When the papers came back from London next to the remark , the marker had put God gets full marks you get none Happy New Year.

Re: Deck Certification
Of course if you are asking a Kiwi a question about decks you may get an answer you may not like.
But the gay community may.
