Re: Sea temperature
Some of our wines here are the world's best.
Unlike some countries we are not allowed to add sugar during the fermentation process.
Rely only on natural sugar brought about by weather conditions.

Some Austrian producerswere putting anti freeze in their wine a few years ago, I wonder if that had anything to do with the weather?

Think the last two summers we have had in Europe there will not be much need to add surgar to the forementing process.

Re: Sea temperature
Until last week we have had around minus 4 most nights, then we had a slight heatwave, then back to minus at night, then thunderstorms, Monday night rain so heavy couldn't hear yourself think. So I thought I had better ring the bloke who cuts our lawn;to come and have a look.
he said he would ring back, I went shopping, when I got home my wife said Ron rang, said he had passed our place last week looked Ok for now, and get this, he was ringing from Canada, apparently one of his relatives was sick, said he would call in when he got back. How's that for a gardener?

Re: Sea temperature
Anti freeze in wine??????????
Had you said in the bee then maybe as we serve ours so cold.
Many years ago we had a couple of friends out from UK.
Stinking hot day, about 38, and spitting chips.
Go onto a bar for some much needed beers.
'Have you ant off the shelf, I find your beer a bit cold'
The reply
'You must be a bloody pom'!!!!!!!!

ha ha, he must have been. Everyone knows AUS beer is rank unless well chilled, although I personally found VB could be drunk when just cool.

Re: Sea temperature
Over time obviously tastes change.
Tried a couple of British beers in London back in July.
Just about cool and the taste would kill a brown dog, then the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sea temperature
Almost beyond belief that you can write something like this Marian, fifty years ago maybe but today? Everyone who can't face the fact that mankind has over exploited nature starts turning on the greens and on champions like Gore and attaching any negative motive they can to their efforts to protect the world for future generations. To speak disparagingly of those who care about the environmnet as if they ae some kind of self indulgent academics or hiipies with lefty luvvie friends just sounds like the kind of immature twaddle we get from Trump and the don't give a damn brigade that has grown in the wake of governments trying to take the environment seriously at long last. Profoundly depressing to see this site populated with such expressions of resentment and sad cliches from the alt right. Banwaggons, shenanigans God help us. Incidentally the UK dishonestly describes it's CO2 output as low by excluding the emissions we have exported to China via the abandonment of our heavy industry.
