Re: Our king charles
That was just a front name, it takes a great deal of money to set up a central bank. In 1694 William 3rd teamed up with the Rothschilds to launch the Bank of England

Re: Our king charles
In the 70s The Governor General of Australia sacked the Labour PM, a coup de ta from the Royal household. Two years ago the lady in charge of the Sydney library asked for and got the letter written by the Queen to the Governor General, released after the statutory thirty years. she said she would publish it at a later date, no siign of it so far, I wonder why?

Re: Our king charles
Just saw a bit on the net.
ALL the royal family including Furgy and her kids were there at church.
You see they are just a normal dysfunctional family like the rest of us.

Happy daze John in Oz.

#105. Just goes to prove John that when our late Queen opened the palace and her family to the public as thought it was the modern way ? The old saying “ Familiarity breeds contempt “ , once again proved to be the order of the day. JS
The other saying are you a roundhead or a cavalier will no doubt when some malcontent gets round to it will likely to appear sexual references not withstanding . vulgar and inappropriate and not British to the mainstream of the community. You either agree with your nationality and birthright or you denounce yourself and give others the chance to honour it. Or in other words shove off. Handing in your passport if you have one on your way out. Cheers JS.

One must remember Cromwell was a Puritan and that the Roundheads chose him as leader.

Re: Our king charles
Died at 59. Refused the crown preferred to call himself Lord Protector of Britain and its possessions ,was continuously unfaithful to his wife , invaded Scotland, among many other ambitions he had. A good role model to the modern politician and how far one can go if can hide one’s dictatorial tendencies. A good role model and Puritan ? Maybe to other budding politicians ! Cheers JS…..

Re: Our king charles
Hi John.
I like your post, reminds me of sitting on the hatch with a cup of tea discussing world affairs, many disagreements but no aggro, each had their own views of things, great days.
Cheers and hope you are feeling better health wise after your Xmas pud.

Cromwell invaded Scotland as far as I know is, that he being the main one who got rid of Charles the First and afterwards hearing that the Scots were thinking about proclaiming the son of Charles as their King Charles the Second of Scotland was his reason.
