Re: Our king charles
Hi Cappy.
The trouble is they used to make those good Welsh halfbacks down the mines, the dastardly English closed the mines for that reason, note that since then the English you know are doing a lot better at the game that was conceived in heaven to keep the Welsh happy.

Re: Our king charles
Of course he's not our King, last British king we had was Charles 2nd. He fled to France when he heard William of Orange was coming over with an army to take over. Guess who financed him, the same people who financed Oliver Cromwell from Holland when they fled Spain and William the Conqueror long before that.
William married his daughter Mary and the first thing he did was set up the bank of England in the City of London, a separate City state like the vatican and Washington DC. He borrowed money from the Bank with which to invade Ireland and increase the national debt, all in the name of keeping us from Popery like Cromwell did and sold Irish land to the City, not England. The German Georgians took over and increased the debt with more unpopular wars. Queen Victoria traced the family back to King David, Charlie went one better and traced it back to Abraham...

Re: Our king charles
Just in case anyone's wondering, the City of London is the square mile where all the world's banks are. Londinium, fortified by the Romans and refortified by William the Conqueror who never took it. What he did is grant them special Charters in repayment for the loan which still remain in place. The City pays no tax on financial transactions, only the people who work there do. The City of London police are not Metropolitan police, they're a private police force and the Monarch is the Lord mayor of London, not the London mayor. The British Monarch has to ask permission to enter the state and follows behind the Lord Mayor, this is granted by the offering of the hilt of a sword which the British Monarch has to grasp

Re: Our king charles
The sign of accepting the hilt of the sword is confirmation that the receiver accepts the homage he is being paid. I have 2 swords and I often pass them hand to hand so I offer and accept homage from myself to myself. I am definetley bigoted towards myself. ? Cheers JS

King Charles.jpg
While working for the B&C Company between 1970 and 80, always wondered how quick the name would be changed to the 80,000t Spanish built bulk carrier bearing his name and registered in London.
