#29 well John in Royal hyistory they did things differently , take Henery the VIII an uppity wife was soon dispatched. Queen Elizabeth I had her cousin Mary Queen of Scots executed. It was not unknown for the Heir to have the spare disappear. . Now there is a way to remove Harry from the scene , to the tower with the bounder.

Re: Our king charles
In many ways its ironic, that this Royal family are there by default, Edward abdicated, as we all know, because they would not allow him to marry the divorced women he loved, and so we had Queen Elizabeth, and now her son, the head of the Church of England, is divorced, and married a divorced women , who at the weekend becomes the Queen . Rules changed, but again, Charles being the head of the CofE, many can still not marry in church if divorced, my own son was refuse on the grounds he was divorced. As i have said many times, i am not a supporter of the Royals as it exists, it is huge, and far too large, at last count 120 grace and favour apartments alone. I would support a smaller outfit, there are numerous Royal families in Europe that do not go for this massive show of pomp perpetually. Just my thoughts on how royal laws seem to change to suit the circumstances.

Re: Our king charles
True John, but look at the background of most of them, they all know where their best interests lie. But that is my point really, the rules change depending who you are. It a good job in my option that Edward buggered off, known to favour with Hitler, and what replaced him was a good replacement, no argument. It is being rumoured that Charles is contemplating pruning the present Royal family at large, i just hope he has a good set of secateurs.

Re: Our king charles
You can’t take their name off them and you can’t take any of their own money , that’s stealing , so how are you going to make them less . Their titles can be taken away by an act of Parliament . Or you can do it the Russian way most of the talk about doing away with Royalty is just envious people who are always there no matter what the subject . Britain should be rejoicing in what they’ve got and hope to watch them on Saturday doing just that. JS

Their trouble is that they have no sense of reality. Yes, they tick over alright in their own environment, but not in the real world, particularly Andrew and his stupid nephew Harry. As a whole, the royal family tend to connect with most plebs, just the odd ones in it don't, bit like most families I suppose.

Re: Our king charles
Charles will be the last true king , as in pomp and splendor. William and the wife will be very low key when their turn comes.
Andrew should be sent to Austrlia loads of Sheilas would welcome him as a companion.
Him and Harry could setup shop and Megan & Fergie could go walk about

Re: Our king charles
We can't compare the modern royals in Britain with what happened to the Czar and his family, the ordinary Russian people where eating dirt, where cut to pieces by Cossack's, chalk and cheese, He was a despot, King George was held in check by parliament.
