Re: merchant navy asociation shop
Cappy due mainly to a member of the site living out here who put a post up some time ago and saying that the shipping organisation he was in was short on members , I followed up with what I thought was the MNA or the nearest thing to it , in Fremantle and got was named the Associated Seafarers something or other who meet on the last Friday of the month, so applied to them with the same application or similar form to the MNA where you had to declare your first ship and your last , I received acceptance to the club a couple of weeks ago and will be attending in July . I could remember the first ship as will never forget which was the old Avonmoor but had trouble with the last , so that must tell me something. Anyhow by joining such hope maybe to keep up with some of the old ones out here who sailed with if still alive , and be able to get a better idea of all this modern today Shipping and ideas. If not will just stay in the pub. Cheers JS

Re: merchant navy asociation shop
Maybe cappy's lady is WFH-Working from Home--yet another modern day acronym, this time inspired by the pandemic to fill the space between our poor old ears.- to be learnt,memorized-and very quickly forgotten!
Is WFH connected with WTF?.Perhaps they are the same thing......
My answerphone has a very sexy-sounding lady voice option on it,which I always choose-t'is my nature I suppose-I love my privacy. An elderly cousin left me a message not too long ago in which she said "Graham, dear,i, oh! is that you,Janet?.Graham told me about you (I didn't).You sound so much nicer than that last man he had living with him " .!!... She then forgot to leave her message,so I had to call her back anyway !
