Re: Manchester Port 1952
Doubt it.
This ship sailed to and from the Great Lakes
Did seaman get thrown off a ship for bad behaviour.
From what I see he could have been thrown off in Philadelphia
According to the dates?

Re: Manchester Port 1952
If he was signed off by the British Consul , think he would of been out of line to remark on his ability and conduct. He may have gone off sick, and left behind. He may of been in Gaol , there could be other reasons. More than probable he could have left by mutual agreement. You seem to think he may have been the devil incarnate , did he have a police record that you know of ? I signed off a seamen as said in another post, who was off the Tasmanian ferry , and he was like a lovesick duck.So sent him back to Melbourne before telling the owners. And the seaman’s union who supplied him . The seaman in question thanked me for doing it as was the only way he would get off the ship apart from harming himself. Hope he married his girlfriend one of the stewardesses off the ferry. This period was after the discharges were used , so no need to report on , in the log book just put mutual agreement. JS
