Vindicatrix
Hello
Just wondering if anyone here remembers Stan Grinham from the Vindicatrix in 1961/1962.
I have a photo of the squad from then that says Stan is in the photo and he said he trained on it, but oddly, someone said they had no record of him there. Unless some records were lost . It's why I'm hoping someone may remember him.

Re: Vindicatrix
If he still has his Discharge Book he will have a Vindicatrix stamp in the front couple of pages.
I have from 1952
Cheers

Re: Vindicatrix
Hi Sylvia.
As Brian said the record is now probably only in his book, I don't think the records of the blokes who went there would still be around, you must remember that 76,000 boys went through there. It is not surprising that no one remembered Stan. I have my squad picture, and have the names of half of them on the back, but can't remember the others. Haven't you got his discharge book?

Re: Vindicatrix
Sylvia, was he deck or catering, catering was a smaller group which might increase your chances.

Re: Vindicatrix
No, unfortunately I don't have his discharge book. Just a couple of photocopied pages and I cannot read the number on the top .

Think he may have been deck as he was a deckhand on his first ship .
