Hi George.
I did two years on my first ship from deck boy to Senior Os, but i signed on four times, each trip taking around six months. I singen on a tanker that was to go up the Persian gulf and back to Swansea around maybe six weeks got home twelve months later.

Another Lands End for orders job Des. Some of those shipping office clerks were as smooth as politicians and could glibly tell you what you wanted to hear without a twitch or a change of facial expression. Wonder what happened to them all ? JS
