No matter how much planning you do, you can never plan for the action of fools. Two weeks ago Barnier agreed that an announcement was imminent on an agreement on trade and other other things.
Macron threw his toys out of the pram, want unrestricted access to to our fishing grounds, wanted the UK to accept their rules, in other words we would have left the EU in name only.
When the lorries line up at French ports held up by the authorities and the food and perishables starts to deteriorate and is unfit for consumption and the French and Spanish farmers don't get paid watch for a quick change of mind.
Me, where I can I will not willingly by Froggie produce as a one man protest.
As for the EU premier Van der what's a name she wants to keep a level playing field, the field and is terrified that we brake or not follow the rules, Germany, France and Italian shipbuilders have never followed the rules, they take state aid under another name but that ok, UK tries it, fined.

#6. The common market I can see light at the end of the tunnel . A European Parliament all I see is a treasonable Act committed by people who had a trust placed with them to defend their country and beliefs. The British Houses of Parliament should have hung their collective heads in shame before being dismantled brick by brick. JS

Its been said many times on this Forum, No matter who is at the wheel or on the watch when theres a major disaster at sea the first person to be questioned regarding accountability is the ships skipper even if he was asleep in his bunk, The buck stops with him, Brexit is no major disaster but could have been handled a hell of a lot better than those on the job who fell asleep at the wheel, Where is David Cameron these days he was the first to jump ship, Followed by Theresa May, This is GB We are talking about, who where victorious in 2 world wars, If we hadn't have been victorious in Europe there would be no E.U. 11/11/11/ Every year people in little towns and big cities all over Europe including France pay homage to the fallen who liberated there country. In my opinion that should never be forgotten. We where took into the common market on a whim by Ted Heath Back in 1973. Did we sign up to give our Sovereignty away and get rid of the famous slogan known the world over as Made In Britain, No we never, So when the dust settles and hopefully the British public can get accountability from there skipper as to what went wrong we can get our eye back on the ball and start building a future that our young people deserve. Whenever T. H . Name is mentioned I am always thinking of Nero who fiddled whilst Rome burned. T.H. was a fiddler as well among other things , I often wondered if history would have been different if a post I put up , that in the 70s I found info. Obviously concerning an attack and the probable target was T,H. If I hadn’t handed this over to the police , Brexit today might not even exist. Sorry we all make mistakes . JS.

Briefly I did an inert gas course for tankers in a motel outside Southampton whilst phoning home from the motel found a notebook lying beside the phone discovered it contained banking details of transfers from a Saudi bank and the costing for the buying of an air to ground missile , this was among other things , also the mention of the Morning Cloud. Being half shot I called the police and repeated some of the contents and then went to. Bed .,about 2 in the morning the motel received a visit by the heavy squad. I was awakened by a burly police sergeant with a night stick who asked for the book , he thanked me and said go back to sleep.Others were not so fortuanate. I heard no more but some time later an IRA bomb factory was discovered in Southampton. Cheers JS

That’s right and I heard no more about it official or otherwise. Whether this was for my own protection or not I don’t know but must have peed someone off. This was nearly 50 years ago now so hoping they have forgotten if it as the case as I imagined it to be. JS

If people don’t read some of the accounts on this site they will be no wiser of what went on at sea. I will give one good example of what people fail to pick up on. Go back to a post my worse Xmas at sea and the murder and attempted murders posted by someone whose name I forget. I replied to the post as knew the ship and the occurrence which had had a similar occurrence prior to this and which I had been heavily involved with . I put down what happened in my case and knew what happened in the other case. However from these two seperate incidents there was an ex Inspector from Scotland Yard on site and he got in touch with me on the private channel, saying he had been an officer in charge of another murder on a same named ship. However he was getting the ships names mixed up. But from him I learned that Scotland Yard has a special murder squad for all murders on British ships ready for to fly out at a moments notice. His particular murder brought to my attention the master of the ship who I knew and believe someone on this site was also with the same name, if he is still on site his namesake was Capt. Ireland ,so if your still here and missed first time round nows your second chance. Always remember there are worse thing happen at sea , it’s not all bronzying. JS

The concept of the EU, to bring all of Europe together to prevent other wars and to tread with each other was good.

But over time a few such as Herr Merkel wanted more say in it all.

Rules and regulations came out that were so rediculous, straight bananas, apples four to the pound etc.

But then the gravy train began and it all went pear shaped.

UK is a proud and just nation and should be allowed to determine it's own destiny.
