RMS Rangitata
Hi Everyone, I am trying to find out the name of the Captain of the RMS Rangitata during WW2. the ship was in service from 1929 and scrapped in 1962. She was operated by the New Zealand Shipping Company between London and Wellington, New Zealand, via the Panama Canal

Hi Mitchell, I have the names of two Captains that served on Rangitata during WWII, sorry I can't tell you which years each one served.
Captain E Holland CBE, and Captain G Kinnell OBE.
I was with the NZSCo in the 1950s and was often in port at the same time as the Rangitata or her sister ship Rangitiki, there was a third
sister ship, Rangitane, she was sunk by torpedoes and gunfire from the German raiders ORION and KOMET in December 1940.
