Thanks for this it does make some good reading and some good old Pics of the Docks.
Yes not that i would recall those days (too long ago for me LOL ) but brings back very fond memories of the days I did spend there when Docking ,and also running around So'Ton all spruced up with loads of cash in the Skyrocket!
We were3 the Ladies Men those days .LOL

If I recall correctly there was an exhibition in Southampton some years ago on that very subject and the importance of the sea port there.
