Duty Christmas import on a ferry
It must have been around Christmas 1984 I used to volunteer to do the Christmas because I like to have New Year off but I used to take my wife and the youngest daughter down to the ship because when it came in on Christmas Eve it wasn't going anywhere till Boxing Day so we had Christmas dinner cooked and quite a restful day
What it came to lunch the cook had been on a bender on Christmas Eve and because we were skeleton crew the chief steward was helping him in the Galley that's where they discovered a nice bag of molten giblets in the cooked Turkey
