Los Angeles, is the only city in the world where if it's timed right you can Ski, Surf, Scuba, have the other that starts with S and ends with X, and get lost in the desert and die from exposure, hike in the hills and get bit by a rattlesnake...it's a wonderful town. And do it all in one day, I think the closest is Vancouver (but no rattlers I believe).


As to the Red Ensign, I fly her every Sept. 3rd, our Memorial and Veterans days below the Stars and Stripes.

I think they have some on the ski areas but it maybe man made., hence us coming north. I think we're about 8000ft here and there is snow all over but has been cleared so not sure when the last fall wall.

Its forecast to snow here over next 2 days - given that I spent $120 on compulsory snow chains it had better snow!!! And then had to buy the door snow boots as the ice is painful on his paws.
