QE2 In Dubai.
My son was invited to dinner last night on the QE2 he said much of the ship is still closed down and wont be fully open until October I think it is.He gave me this link a lot of pictures of the ship click on one brings it bigger then arrows to proceed forward or backward.It's hit anyway so well worth a watch.

Is this what she was like when in service? The decor seems very plain and almost ferry like, certainly not what I would expect.
I was expecting more Queen Mary style. Interestingly I was watching a documentary on the Disney cruise ships and they have been designed very tastefully, the Disney theme is there but is discrete. They actually look like liners rather than floating hotels. You'd never get me on one due to all those kids but I liked they weren't tacky.
Talking of tacky whatever happened to the EasyJet cruise ship?

Looking at it sixties design colours etc, agree with Shaun looks like a glorified Dover /Calais ferry.

I came across her a couple of times in the Atlantic in the 60's - on both occasions it was night time & we got the aldis lamp out and asked what ship, in reply they just shone their spotlight on the funnel.
