So explain how that works ??? if you are buying US stocks & Shares what currency are you using? be careful the UK tax man does not come calling for undeclared foreign investments.

Over the years I have had a couple of brushes With The Taxman but I've always found that if you are straightforward and honest with them most of them as I have come across will go out of their way to be helpful

Expatriate definition: An expatriate is someone who is living in a country which is not their own.

Done that , back home now.

It is always struck me as quite amusing when you drive across France and to some extent Greece and Spain you find communities consisting of fellow British expatriates Who arrange a delivery from the United Kingdom where they have to have their Marmite and Heinz sauce all delivered out to them and they stay in there own little circle and never mix with the villagers it seems a shame really that they miss so much of the culture that they have never attempted to join

Rob, that happens in a lot of countries.

Here in Oz you will find all manner of groups who stick with their own much of the time,
Indian, Maltese, Somalians, Those of that religion we do not speak of, and many suburbs are taken over by them.
They do not become ghettos but the greater majority will be of the one nationality.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

They just tell us, "This is our country now, convert or die"
I am an ex Pat in my own town.
