Brian, she is being replaced with planes. Apparently the airport at St. Helena is now open for business.

re: RMS St Helena
Thanks for that Vic,
I saw some photos of the new airport in St Helena.
I think it will destroy the island, thousands of tourists pouring in, Holiday Inns everywhere,
Jet ski boats charging around , turning the two little homely pubs into Disco joints,
A lovely island with lovely people with old 17th century English accents, a time capsule.
they were very happy isolated from the evils of the world, I went back and they just had TV installed, I was in the pub and they were amazed watching an American TV program on the new TV, Cars exploding , shoot outs, killing etc, It was polluting these innocent people lives, they could not believe that the outside world was like that,
Now millions of the people will be coming here, the House prices will go through the roof, they will not be able to buy a home, Food prices will rocket, and so on , Their very existence will be destroyed in the pursuit of profit by big overseas Companies,
It is a Disgrace.

re: RMS St Helena
Reading some of the reports on that Airport about the cross winds I think is a brave man who flies in there to be perfectly truthful

re: RMS St Helena
St. Helena and Ascension island, two beautiful islands that were at one time a place toe scape the worries of the world.
But now like so many other similar spots has been taken over by tourism and commercialization.
But now just maybe that letter sent to Napoleon from Josephine might reach there.

Happy daze John in Oz.
