Hi Eric,
Mr S. Bowles , Wireless Operator lost on the GOTH aged 19. lived in Newton-le-Willows, I have been trying on some of the sites put of Fleetwood to find information on him,, but nothing as yet. There a number of sites on google about the tragedy, from Fleetwood.

Hi Brian, Just read the Fleetwood news about the memorial and the funnel from the Goth. Yes it was Stan and it was his first voyage. Sent email to the paper with some more detail. See what you chaps can do for us oldies, never, ever thought I could keep in touch with my past. Dunno what I would do with my failing years, but now you've set me off again... thunkin' n' tech'n.
