##it was ice cream john ...actually coupe hawaii.....as the chief steward called it cos it had a lump of pineapple in it ......i actually thought .....i will be inside for assault of an officer on the high seas......but the old mans wife from sunderland said.....you were quite right ....he is an abomnible man or something similar ....never even got logged for it ...but then on a tramp were the mate was drinking the medical alcohol ......the old ex AB murderer from north shields never turned to between leaving the tyne and reaching La Romana.......were he turned to to come alongside,,,,and the old plonky mate said who the eff are you i havnt seen you,,,,,the old lad said well ive seen you plenty....were it was all due to getting into rum from the bond .....where the second engineer was spotted more than once inthe chief stewards bunk.....were all the mattresses were sold in osaka ......and they accepted the story a japanese had come aboard and nicked them.......and the happy palace bar ended up with dunlopillow matresses in all the girls rooms .....happy days ....and we got paid for it .....feel sorry for them working on these containers now 8 or 9 hands ......what a bloody excistence......the world was our oyster ...we were kings.......the likes off we will never see again.......cappy

Too late I swapped it with cappy for one of his bottles of the good stuff. 80 pence from the local supermarket and 10 p back on the bottle. He now holds the title of illegitimate-illegitimate. Wants everyone now to call him Sir. JS
