Re: Happy memories
Villa Constitucion somewhere up above B.A. on the plate left hand side going up stream . Dont to this day know if anything there apart from a pub and a riverside swimming pool. Used to go there during the day as was nightwatchman, until one day a snake swam past my nose. Just stayed on board then until we got up to Rosario. Only got there after calling at a place called SAN Nicholas where dropped a kedge anchor aft and a bower anchor forward and tied up to a cliff face. The Grain chutes appeared from the top of this cliff , no gangway , no nothing , kedge the ship off and Hi ho Silver Rosario next stop. Weird .. Must have been done with hand signals no VHF in those days. JS
