    Default Songs and places

Whenever certain songs are heard it instantly takes me back
to certain places from many years ago,
    Que Sara Sara,Bremerhaven,
    Jamaica Farewell Jamaica
    Yellow Rose of Texas,Montreal.
Two blokes talking about songs and music
One of them said I bet any name you can think of I know a song with that name in it.
The other bloke thought hard then said "Dartanyen"
Happy Birthday to you,Happy birthday to you.

Yes indeed I think that many will have remembrances of Places and Events with certain songs!
Some good and some not so good!
But for me the good outweigh the bad!

Ha Ha said the Clown (the Night I met my dear Wife Irene) At a party in Durban
Ava Maria (always reminds me of my dearest Mother) on a trip to paarl in the Cape!
    And many more too.
    Cheers

Worth listening to the Beatles lyrics of 'In My Life' from their Rubber Soul album. Says it all.

    Green, Green Grass of Home:

Tom Jones version will ever remind me of Wales but, In all reality was originally a country song.

"Green, Green Grass of Home", written by Claude "Curly" Putman, Jr. and first recorded by singer Johnny Darrell, is a country song originally made popular by Porter Wagoner in 1965, when it reached No. 4 on the country chart. That same year it was sung by Bobby Bare, and later Tom Jones, in 1966, when it became a worldwide No. 1 hit. The song had also been recorded the previous year in 1965 by Jerry Lee Lewis, and included on his album Country Songs For City Folks (later re-issued as All Country), and Jones had learned the song from Lewis's version.
