Hi David, many thanks for that.
I also went to Deception Island and Elephant Island,
I was offered a `job` at Gritviken at the museum and also to help restore one of the Whalers on the beach , name VIOLA, I have the photos, for the Season with the South Georgia Heritage Trust.Dundee. but unfortunately an encounter with an elephant seal injured me so I had to have an operation when I got home so I missed the Season
SHE is shouting at the moment I will have to go
    Back later
    Cheers
    Brian.

Nice video on G Captain 'Building the Baltika' search on the internet or perhaps Tony could transfer it, I'm no good at that sort of thing, basically a ship built on a triangular hull which travels sideways through the ice to create a 50 metre wide passage, there are still clever people out there.

    Interesting ship, the Balltika.

    An observation/speculation.

My subject is electronics, not hydrodynamics, but .....

Since her port side obviously has more drag than her starb'd, in order to sail straight ahead she will require either a bit of rudder offset, a bit of assymetric thrust or a bit of both.

    Does that make sense?
