PSNC, Shaw Saville, some of Ropners, CPR, amongst others had a house flag on the bow, one of the jobs I loved was painting them in PSNC, also did them as 3rd mate in Ropners. Some German ships had very intricate ones, as did the Scandahooligans

Is that something painted on the bow I can't quite make it out,if it is some kind of houseflag it is not the Britain, the Empress boats did not have the houseflag on the bow.I must admit only for that I would say it is the Britain I did two lay ups in the Gladstone Graving dock on her.

Looks to me as if she has had plates cut away and that we can see the foscle stores. Certainly does not appear to be anything painted on the bow. Could be some repair going on.

Yes Chris I agree! Looks very much like a fixing job going on there! And its off Centre as well,so cant be a painting otherwise would have on both sides!
The Pic I posted earlier shows the Stern View but looks like it is the Empress of Britain!
    Cheers
