That old film, Whisky Galore was on TV last night about Harrisons` Politician` on the rocks, full cargo of whisky bound for the States. In the film she was called the `Cabinet Minister`.
and at the same time a film of The Whalers. A true story that inspired Melville to write Moby Dick.
interesting night.

Watched both of them, excellent film and documentary.
My father was based in Campbeltown at the time of the Politicians wreckage and my mother always told me that some of that whiskey actually reached as far as there, though how true that is, is open to debate.
