I was at Sharpness from 19-9-55 till 25-1-55 Discharge book R639687. a similar time to Neville Roberts,R639546, only 141 apart.

Mine was R697530 issued at Tilbury 1958 as well,unfortunately had lost it Years ago but have Copies of Trips etc from Board Of Trade.

I went to the Vindi in Nov/Dec 1952,my discharge book no
was R583900,so far I havent come across a number that is
anywhere near to mine.It seems that I must have been the
only entry at this time !!!!!!

Mick Burke, we are pretty close in D/C book numbers and dates in the school, were you in catering? ( i was catering) or deck?, also were you at the school when the Polio problem raised its head and they cut our course down by 2 weeks? at the same time i was there they had the boys from the "Vindi" stay with us and they were to do the big march up in London.
where did you go following Gravesend?
