Merchant Navy Medal

Having just read these posts about a Merchant Navy Medal to be awarded to those with meritorous service ,this seems a bit funny to me .I bought a MN medal a few years ago from a place in theUK i cannot remember the name they sold a lot of military goods

Two totally different medals. The Commemorative service medal can be bought from Award Productions, the other attached was awarded by the shipping industry since 2005 and around 15 are awarded annually.

The new medal will be totally different and will be awarded in the Queens Birthday and New Years Honours list and has yet to be designed

I replaced my campaign medals and bought the Merchant Navy Service Medal from, www.awardmedals.com. They are trustworthy and will send a catalogue if you wish. Use mine to order on line and very happy with the results.

Looked at www.Mercantnavymedal.org and saw the pics etc., of the award, description, dates annually from 2005 in which you appear Billy, hence the Avatar, I think. We're proud of you and all you do for us "older salts" on these websites.... keep up the great work please.
