Cap badges help.

Help Please.
does anyone recognise these badges on the Cap.
They are from Nigel Payne of ESSO, I went to his funeral on Monday and the photos were on his memorial card.
One is as 2nd Mate, the cap badge looks like a Pilots badge, white over red,
and the other was in his Cadets Uniform, it looks like Three white diamond shapes.

I couldnt enlarge the photos and get a better look.
A crowd of us was wondering who he sailed with before joining ESSO in the 70s.

I cannot make out the Badges Capt as the images are not clear at all!

Thanks for that Vernon,
never knew there were so many badges.
Unforunately those were not amongst them.
I will mail the original photos from the memorial card, that is all I have to go on.
