COMPLAINTS by cruise ship passengers include one by a woman who moaned about the sea being "too loud", it has been revealed. And a couple accused a captain of being "rude" for sailing off when they had left a note saying they needed more sightseeing time in port, according to cruise travel agency bonvoyage.co.uk.
One woman, having seen that Take That star Gary Barlow had been on her ship on an earlier trip, demanded an explanation as to why the singer was not on her voyage.
Then there was the man who complained about not getting "an impressive tan" and being unable to swim in the pool each day while on a trip around ... Alaska.
A woman travelling with the company called Celebrity Cruises asked for a refund as there were "no celebrities on board", while a couple wanted compensation after forking out "a lot more money than planned" on staff tips due to the excellent service.
The woman who complained about the loudness of the sea said she had not been able to sleep well on her Mediterranean cruise.
She demanded cabins be "better sound-proofed against the sounds of the sea".
Another female traveller, having booked an inside cabin, then complained about not having a view of the sea and asked for a window to be installed.
Bonvoyage.co.uk cruise development manager Steph Curtin said: "From time to time we come across a few quirky complaints that we can do little to help.
"I'm afraid we can't be held responsible for the sea being too loud or the lack of celebrities on board."

They appear on all cruises no matter where.
The spicy food is too spicy, well try something else.
When I flush the toilet when still sitting on it I get the feeling my a**e is being taken away. Why not try flushing after you get up?
The ice in my drink is far too cold and it hurts my teeth. Ever considered a drink without ice?
The photograph the phtographer took of me and my husband does not look like us. Are you sure you had your glasses on when looking.
Why are the waves on the sea so big? There is no logical answer to this one.
But these are some of the commenst i have heard from other passengers.

I was in the Pursers Bureau on the Empress Of France crossing the Western Ocean when a passenger asked "Why isn't there a snooker table on board"

In one of the Australian papers today the passengers on one of the cruise ships down here were complaining about the noise of the sea. Wondered if this was an April fools joke. However the complaint appeared genuine. John Sabourn

on UCL if bloods were tardy leaving the table after a meal i used to look out of the porthole and say look at the sea-plane (sea plain) they would rush to look out and i could clear up. bloods could say stupid things like where do they keep the cows for the fresh milk.

Believe it or not Jim one of the Royal caribbean fleet does have a billiard table on board. I have seen a video of it, the table is set on gimbles and it works very well.

I have never told anybody this,but forty years have passed,so......

On the 28th October 1973 at 0213 hours GMT ,in position 0°00'.0" N/S , 15°07' .09" W,I actually crossed the Line at the wrong angle and got it caught in the prop. On the return southbound voyage a few months later,I observed the Line was a good 14 and a ½- miles north of it's original position (by my calculations)......Oops !.gif



Now that's worth an extra egg,isn't it?
