Badge Identification.
I notice that this gent trained at HMS Gordon,my brother was there around the same time.We hear so much about Gravesend Sea School being closed down during the war and the intake moved to the Vindi because Gravesend was to near to London and the bombing.HMS Gordon was in fact Gravesend SS that we all attended it was a Merchant Navy Training Establishment during the war.My brother was called up for the RN and reported to Chatham they were asked "anybody with MN experience that would like to transfer to the MN" he stuck his hand up and was transfered to HMS Gordon at Gravesend.
Regards.
