What about this Lads!???
Hell you know Lads, besides the Meet with George and possibly one or two others in Sept,i really wish that one day we could arrange a good Meet with many of us together at some point in time!
Just reading and writing these little gags etc so brings to mind the very good things that we got up to,and a big meet i am sure would do us all a great deal of good of that i am positive!
I am sure many of you may feel the same,so what say (besides the normal Southampton and Liverpool Meets) when i can again get awy from the Trouble and Strife,we begin plans to do just that!
It wouldnt be of couse for about another 18months to 2 years from Sept, but hey life is full of surprises!
I for one would willingly, again travel back to the UK!
Lets keep this in mind !
Thanks and Cheers!
Doc the old Crock!! LOL

Re my Post #12
Re my Post #12
John C
I am sure with a wee bit of good organising and commitment we could well get this on the road at a later date!
When i return from my Jaunt in September, i will allready be making plans for my next trip back to the UK!
I have avery good reason to besides this planned meet,as i want to also spend a bit mre time with my Daughter Tina in Birmingham,as this trip i will only be seeing her for a day trip from London!
I also want to return to parts of Germany that i have visited in the past,so all in all i will try and this time spend about a Week with Tina,a Week in Germany, and another Week and a bit around the UK,it would be good to say have at least two or three days with all of you lads that could possibly make it! We could pick a Venue wherever,Book into Hotels for 2 Nights (that making it a three day get together,(enough time for all to get well and truly blotto haha) then crawl back to your respective Trouble and Strife's to tell the Tales! Oh Boy!! What tales will you tell! Mmmm! I wonder!
I will not forget this Post, and will revive it when i return!!! So beware!! LOL!
Cheers

Dads Discharge Book
Looking at my Dads D/B,I see he done a couple of eight months trips in the Royal Mail ships in the Fourties and one in 1950,my mam would let us all write a few lines inthe Air Mail saying how much we missed him, about six of us would say the same thing we all ment it.Mother would would say to your dad his keeping fine, still get his allotment.Brother Alex was away on Fourteen months trip in the late 1970's,I was the only brother that wrote to him,and me late Mam,when he came home he said never again, alway'sdone Four Months trips after that.Ken.
