hello ivan did you come across a long term stevie clark employee named mel arkley ....he is a neighbor of mine in the village....originally from silksworth near sunderland he was a master with them and i believe started as apprentice years ago....regards cappy

Sorry Cappy name doesn't ring a bell, but as you know, not many of us at sea in those days knew the surnames of our shipmates, we all used nicknames, reckon the only time we knew surnames was roll call at lifeboat and fire drills, they were then immediately forgotten.
