there are huge gangs of Eastern Europeans around the Olympic Stadium, bag snatchers and pickpockets, on Westminster Bridge the Police arrested about 40 in a Gang of Romanians ripping people off with loaded dice games, nearly every purse snatched in the UK is done by an Eastern European, am afraid its a criminal act common to those Countries, honest activities are alien to them, the more Eastern European Countries that join the EEC will only worsen the situation here. they should be Deported after one serious Criminal Offense, but we are too soft on them here. , we attract the scum of Europe.

We joined the Common Market under the guidance of Ted Heath. The concept of a common market at the time was good. But then the rules changed and some very poor countries got involved, Greece comes to mind on thta score. The larger countries then had to sustain the poor ones until they came up to standard, well they might one day LOL, so countries like GB got screwed. You do enough trade outside Eu now to be independent, all you need is a government that plays sport, you know will balls!

As someone living on the European mainland , I would agree with most of what has been said.

Should also add that the ordinary Dutch person in the street has much the same opinion.

As far as the Euro is concerned, yes it was a mistake welcome countries like Greece into the system.
It should have been obvious that this would fail. The way of life , mindset, trade , etc .is completely
different from a North European country.

Having said that , must admit that I quite like a weak € ., good for the MNOPF and British state pension !.

I could never understand how anyone could have thought that the introduction a single currency such as the Euro would ever work. Germany/Greece are poles apart in their thinking both economically and culturally.

There are too many cultural differences, work wise and every other way, trading partners was ok, but we always were before the EEC was thought of, it was a totally unnecessary to introduce the EEC, with the all too powerful Brussels Parliament, overruling our National Laws, telling us what we can and cannot grow, it is a Dictatorship to all Europe, we got rid of Adolf Hitler , Franco and Mussolini, to be ruled by Brussels, getting more powerful as time goes by, has cost the UK a fortune with no benefit to us. the average German and Dutchman regret it now,

I consider A. Merkel the German chancellor to be the biggest threat to EU. I am pf the opinion that Germany wants total control of Europe. She davocates auterity to fix the problem, that is no more spending until you pay your debts. That is a recipe for disaster, imagine you have a creidt card debt and loose you job, how will you pay your debt off? The answer is to get countries moving again, open the purse strings and get the workers working, if you can, then you will at least have some taxes coming in, that would be a start.

if i remember right, london was known as the banking capital of the world in the fifties. now it is a shambles, probably due to the EEC. how can different countries have a decent stock exchange if they all have the same money standard?. the japanese now have one of the strongest currencies, the germans practically run europe, so who really won that war that they are trying to tell you never happened?.
