Dredging 'em up now ! Here's Another Conversion....
Another converted tanker was the B.P.Tanker BRITISH DEFENDER, She was an 8,420 dwt. 11-knot motor Tanker built at Wm..Doxford & Sons Pallion Yard,Sunderland in 7/1950.
After 14 years she was sold in 1964 and converted to a hopper dredger for her new owners Trustee Secretaries Ltd London ,then same owners reflagged to Liberian in 1969.
In 1970 owners recorded as Transworld Marine Trailers Inc ,Monrovia then in 1972 back to .Marcon R.M.C.Ltd London.Broken Up at Bruges 10.2.82
