Thank You vernon for introducing the above web site.
Just been following the path , from the Kingston Theatre cnr. Coventry Rd. to Lawley Street ,Bordesley Green.
Where my mother met me halfway .Near St Andrews Football ground . and hammered me the rest of the way home.
My own fault. I took a precious ,, sixpence ,from her purse. .Had an overwhelming desire to watch a Laurel and Hardy film.
See the Street is now a Motorway , Though Viaduct St. remains. Running with us to the Shelter in the Blitz , caught her face on the bricked corner of the Viaduct We being blinded by the falling incendiaries Memories.
