True Glen, but then here in Oz the biggest investers in bamk shares are the super funds. Dividends help to build up super levels. But I do agree that there are some around the world that are very poorly run.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Santander
It took me almost 2 hours of phone calls to Santander yesterday to change my address, got so much wrong info, went through 5 different call centers, because i could not give my old mobile number would not allow my request, each call center had different security questions, all said there was no other way if i did not know, last one never asked for phone number and request completed, all worked in different ways

It was reported by the BBC the other day that if Santander did go bust the FSA guarantees all moneys up to £85,000. So I am safe.

Santander
I've taken my cash out of Santander, just to be on the safe side. So too has Kent County Council.

Santander
i once did some house maintainance for a rich Greek, was for a few weeks, you literally had to ambush him to get paid, the strokes he tried to pull
, phone his wife to ask where he was she said he is away, but i saw him drive his car on the driveway 30 minutes befor, he owned a huge hotel, asked me to paint all the bedrooms over 20, i knew i would never get paid, said i would be paid when all were painted ,, found out nobody would work for him, so i went there on a monday, spent a few hours in one bedroom, painted the walls black,, locked the room up and never went back he never contacted me,
