It was the colour of the hulls, but you could be excused for considering it a term for many of the catering crew. I suspect that the majority of the Lavender ladies had more 'fruit' than the average liner.

Wouldn't be surprised that the steel is coming from China. Read somewhere that the Scottish Government's new bridge across the Forth will be built with Chinese steel, ignoring local steelworks.

Who the hell does the ordering of the steel from China. Should be charged with High Treason..
There should be a total ban on all Chinese products. No wonder that a few million people are out of work in the UK.
I heard that all the souvenirs for the Queens 60th Jubilee and all the souvenirs for the Olympic Games are being made in China.
Millions of pounds will be spent by Tourists for a British Souvenir that is made in China.
The people who order this should be locked up for ever. and lashed every day.

lets see if I can get something posted the way this thing is acting up.Did not the steel works in Sheffield ask for a lousy £80 Million to expand the business (Nick Cleggs constituancy by the way) knocked back no money in the pot.Money in the pot though to give to China and India and also 10 billion to the IMF. I was delighted to read that the furnaces on the North East Coast had been reignited and the steel industry back in business. What is happening to this steel are we exporting it cheaply to China. It is beyond comprehension what is going on in this Country, you hear people moaning every time you go out about the state the Country is in and how bad things are, we have just had an election albeit only local and what a bad turn out in some places as low as 10% we should've been out there in force letting this Government know what we think of them.

When I was in New South Wales recently, a lady guide in the Blue Mountains told me they produced Coal and iron ore and made their own steel. Now they export the coal and iron ore to China and China makes the steel and sells it back to Australia.
.
Then I got to thinking, it is all about the `NEW WORLD ORDER` that was thought up by men in horn rimmed glasses and suits in the UN after WW2 , to spread the industries around the world and also spread the populations around the world.
But it is now getting beyond a joke.
Enough is enough.
Have a nice day
Brian.

its great news to know ships are being built in the UK, i wonder why it was decided to build here, ,Shame no british steel was used, regarding Olympic souveniers made in China, for years now all souveniers sold in london have been made in China, even the National Maritime Museum souveniers are Chinese and have been for many years, personally i think its a fraud to sell them as a souvenier from UK. My Father died 40 years ago, and he used to say, one day the yellow race will rule the world, they bought Weetabix and Readybrek this week.
