Default Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Centre:

We still seek a Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Centre, this would be based in Barry, the original calls for any kind of museum fell seemingly on deaf ears. Much time was spent on raising awareness for and including a maritime museum. The group now involved include most local historians and more.

The proposed multi use centre would encompass a museum, cafe, gift shop, tourist board office, meeting room etc.

It is just what Barry needs, all that land and nothing in town for locals or visitors, even the cinema has now gone, years ago there were six or seven. The docks have ceased to any degree and the resort is a long way from bringing in the crowds that once went.

Anyone with an ounce of enterprise should join in the Heritage Centre call.

Barry could have the best state of the art museum / visitor centre proudly on her old dock ?

So many organisations have no longer premises, the meeting room could help educate the young etc in the day time and provide space for lodges, groups etc on the evenings.

Barry needs something, it needs it now, it needs a new centre for the community, a new tourist attraction, a museum and meeting place.

Times are tough, the fight is hard, but we try:

At least the Town Fathers appear to be taking a serious look ?
