    Des I must have been with the poorer shipowner ( if there ever was one) we only had Soda for first few years, teepol and the likes was too expensive. Bosun always used to mix. Probably p...d in bucket as well if truth was known. John Sabourn

    We were issued with - Brown Windor Soap tablets for crew. - Buttermilk for officers 2 tablets for engine - 1 tablet for the rest.

    Great times by all, Bleeding spoiled today fancy soaps and Andrex nettie paper.

    Blue counterpane for crew White counterpane officers all with the company logo in the centre.

    Well honestly I don't want to boost.
    We in Brocklebanks had both.
    Also a good supply of the old Carbolik( is that spelt correctly)
    We musty have been pampered right enought.
    All that, and a company bar/bond on all ships.
