Forthcoming Anniversary Cruise.
Greetings shipmates,
Just thought it was only fair that I should let you all know that I will be out of circulation for the next few weeks, my wife and I are off on a Carribean cruise for our 50th wedding anniversary and so looking forward to it after the bad few years of health problems we have have had first of all with my wife and then of course with our youngest daughter Catherine, both with breast cancer, however things are now turning for the better all round so we will now be able to relax for the next few weeks.
I would also like to thank all of you who have given quite a lot of input about cruising I have read all of the messages with interest, and I will be taking booze aboard with us if they take it off us so what the hell it's not the the end ovf the world.
I know we all all like to hear about all the far distants lands so here is a breif summary of our trip, we sail on the "Ventura" from Southampton on the 21st October sail for Maderia then acroos the Atlantic to the Carribean, our ports of call in the Carribean will be Tortola in T=the British Virgin Islands (I doubt if there are any there) Antigua, St LUcia, Granada, Barbados and fly overnight from there, will let you all know how it went on our return.
In the meantime all take and keep healthy.
Will miss my daily fix on this great site.
Best wishes to one & all.
Kathleen & John Aspin (R685343) Ormesby-Middlesbrough.

Hi John and Kathleen
My very best wishes to you both on reaching such a memorable milestone in your lives (my lovely and I still have nine months to go) . John, I was pleased to learn that the health concerns in respect of your two 'girls' are now much brighter. Do hope you both enjoy a wonderful, well-earned cruise.....
......................Bon Voyage, Roger.

Enjoy it John, and fear not, you will probably have access to a comp on board. Taking booze aboard? Hide it in your case. Cheers, Albi

Hi John.
You and Kathleen have a lovely time on the voyage, you both deserve it. No hanky panky in the lifeboats as Gulliver is hiding there. don't worry about the booze just drag each other around the dance floor.
Cheers Des

You don't have to miss your visits to the site. There is internet access on board, but you may have to queue, unless you log in during the night. Best wishes to you all, and "Bon Voyage". 1st of November we will be cruising Cyprus and the Greek Islands. It will be good to have a deck under my feet again and breathe air that no-one else has breathed or polluted. (Two whole days out on the open sea!).
