I know the one in Sydney.I was there Christmas 2008 on one of my periodic visits. The original one was destroyed by fire several years ago. The present one still offers lots of fun.

Lunar Park Sydney
Greetings Phillip,
Yes I remember Lunar Park very well just as if it was yesterday went there with three other ship mates way back in 1960 and have a photo taken with my mates behind bars as if we were in prison you might remember that.
As a matter of fact I stiill have the photo along with a few others and would you beleive I have made contact with one of my mates on the photo he was the Radio Officer and we became good freinds he was over the moon when I contacted him and have sent him a copy of all the photos.
Contacting Tom was made possible by this great web site.
Best wishes,

I first went to Luna Park in Sydney in 1955, and last time in 2007.
There was always one in Buenos Aires in 1958 a couple of blocks from No.4 Dock. it was still there in 2009

Three Luna parks here in Oz, the biggest is currently in Melbourne. Sydney has one nad think the other is in Brisbane. There have been attempts to close them over the years due to low patronage but the Melbourne one was upgraded a few years ago and now does quite well.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Luna Park
Hi.Phil
I remember Luna Park in Sydney, in fact I wiil attempt to send photo of myself and 3 mates in the dummy bar in 1950( I am the good looking one on the left, 17 years of age and as cocky as a peacock). Much to my surprise it is still there despite the fact that the appeal has dropped off for this kind of amusement. I think your question about other sites in Oz.has been answered by others. They could have sprung up after my time at sea.
Cheers
Pete
