Although I'm a Mancunian by birth I'm afraid Liiverpool was my 'home port'.
With a famous surname like Mintoff,I would never have guessed you were from Malta!
You Liners men used to cause untold grief to the traffic waiting on Knutsford Road and Stockton Heath roadbridges over the Manchester Ship Canal,in Warrington!(You used to always give victory salutes as you passed(joking!)
Wish I was in Malta,now--it's a dull 12 degrees here.

another warm welcome to this site of past dreams.
i see you come from GOZO.One of my best mates lives in GOZO. mike CHINI married to an irish girl PAT. i cant for the life of me remember the villages name on the northen side .but he lived in LAMPUK st next to the water tank. i lost contact with him when i can to NZ.

Hi I didnt sail on any of the ships you mention but i sailed on the Manchester Miller Christmas eve 1969 until feb 70 I cant remember much about it but the crew were nearly all from Manchester.
