James #9, At Ottawa International, They have a designated parking area quarter KM from the terminal, which is free. You can park awaiting arrivals who will phone when ready. Quite refreshing in this day and age....

Re: Funnies 2
When in London either M&S or some similar sore for the dunny.
Pub is also fine but you have to have a beer first and that just adds to the needs.
KFC down by the Tower chrge 50p for all customers to use the dunny, not sure how much for other.

Happy daze John in Oz.

I took my grandson into town a few years back, to see the sights around the tower. He needed a wee, so into the nearby gents we went. The bloke on the door was charging £2 and I said "are you effin kiddin" "Oh!" he said with a wink "you're a local, in ya go mate" and we both had a freebee wee.

Re: Funnies 2
I remember a couple of years ago in Birkenhead there was a piece of waste ground being used as a carpark There was an bloke who used to collect the all day parking fee as you entered. Cheapest parking in Birkenhead. The bloke who collected the money disappeared and some one approached the council to ask why they had put a barrier up to stop motorists from parking there.
Turned out this guy was a chancer or an entrepreneur and for years he was collecting a parking fee for himself unbeknown to the council lol.
You can now park there all day but the rip off council charge a lot more than the entrepreneur ever charged. It was at the back of Conway street close to the benefits office lol

There was one in Central Glasgow (behind the Eye Infirmary / hospital). A guy who worked for a company in Whiteinch, which I was doing some business with in the early 90's, did some research into who owned the derelict land and when his search turned up nothing he invested in a little wooden shed, put up a sign with parking charges and sat back and took the money. He did it for a couple of years then sold the "business" to a Pakistani for a significant sum.
