Re: Observations on France
I can recommend actually going there, much depends on self if you are accepted.
Truly worth being part of all and not to be missed.
Think there are many more world wide that see more anti Anglaise than Francaise.
Much is to do with mistaken attitudes.

Do you know it only took Germany 3 days to conquer France in W11? And thats because it was raining.

The French Government announced today that it is imposing a ban on the use of fireworks at Euro Disney. The decision comes after a nightly fireworks display at the park, located just 30 miles outside of Paris, caused the soldiers at a nearby French Army garrison to surrender to a group of Czech tourists.

Re: Observations on France
When I was still sailing we used to visit a number of ports in France and in the main I never had any problems with the average french people we would meet during our cargo operations. Most of us in the U.K have no problems with the French people but their politicians are a different matter, especially so since we left the European union, a corrupt club if ever there was.
The u.k is suffering from a huge influx of illegal immigrants coming across the channel in small boats but the French appear to do nothing to prevent them crossing, despite been given millions to assist them in stopping the illegal trade. There is a very simple solution to the problem and that is to cut off the supply of these inflables to the people smugglers, yet the French either seem incapable of, or cannot be bothered too, stop the supply of them.
