i have photos of most of the ships iv`e sailed on ,i am still looking on various sites for ss stonehaven
formerley the hope park .ss siam and ss bangkok if any one could help i would appricieate it

Had a quick look for your ships.No luck with
STONEHAVEN,but if you click onto SS STEAMSHIPS
you will find a photo of BANGCOCK and a few of the
SIAM.Best of luck with your search.

Hello Eric do you remember me we sailed on some of the same ships i.e. naess soveriegn, burmah Zircon, Nordic Clansman. I was 3rd eng. on the Clansman

Hi Eric, if you look on the wb for SS Hopepark you will get a fine photo. she became the Stonehaven all hush hush on the run between Iran and Eilat

Thanks for your interest Doc, I sailed on the Stonehaven "Hopepark" from 11/04/73 to 08/08/73, we were carrying oil from Iran through the straights of Hormuz and up the red sea into the gulf of Aqaba to Eilat at the time, all hush hush. It was 4 months on and 4 off. I only did one trip. But it was an unforgettable experience. Lars Nordin was the 2 eng. He later became a Denholm Super.
