Hi, I sailed with Chief Steward Paddy O'regan in the 70's on The Hardwicke Grange.
He missed sailing on the fateful Voyage of the Royston Grange due to ill Health at the time, Hence he was on the Hardwicke at the time.
While loading Whiskey & Ammunition in Glasgowon the OCEAN TRANSPORT One of my Shipmates fell into the Dock & i dived in to get him out at 2.00am on 06/04/1976. I was awarded the Royal Humane Society scroll for Bravery. A Jock Police-man told us that we were the First to come out alive in the last 3 Years at the time. For some reason i cannot remember the name of the other Chief Steward who sailon the Hardwicke Grange regularly, can any-one help Please.

Hi Robin
I have moved your post here to the Houlder's forum. I think the other chief steward you are referring to was Paddy StClaire.

The other Chief Stewards name was Peter St. Clair which he changed from Peter Norwood when he married his Argentinian girl friend of that name.
I sailed on the "Ocean Transport" with a Chief Steward from London called Arthur Marshall, perhaps he is the one you are thinking off.
Regards
Leo
