Re: Covid Vacs
I missed happy hour last night Des. Reason the previous night the bar had been broken into and the thieves left a path of destruction behind. The police were still there and it was a crime scene . Hope they catch the baskets , would be a Good opportunity to practice corporal punishment , Cheers JS

Re: Covid Vacs
Des, Wales has three weeks to bring Covid down or restrictions are coming back.
A very high uptake on the jab that's supposed to save lives but, proves it is not a cure.
First Minister Mark Drakeford said: "Over the past three weeks, coronavirus cases have risen sharply to the highest rates we have seen since the pandemic began and more people are falling so seriously ill that they need hospital treatment.
Please all take care even with the three jabs.
Keith.

Re: Covid Vacs
I did hear that 85% of UK had the AZ and that about 90% are fully vaccinated.
But according to figures the death and infection rate is still high??
Booster to begin here next week for some, we will have to wait un till January for ours.
But Saturday night we go out for dinner, first since August 7th.
Now have booking for the next 6 weeks, got to catch up on lost time.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Covid Vacs
All seems a bit like getting back to normal half way through a plague.
Medical science may help many not die but, unless third world countries
are assisted I can only see more variants. Since we opened all up here
this deadly viral disease seems to be more rampant.

Re: Covid Vacs
Bugger, bugger, we went up the Club only to be refused entry, the girl who we know very well and who we didn't blame, said that the card from the Dr wasn't good enough we had to have a certificate from Medicare, which we promptly went to get but they hadn't got it in the computer as yet , so it was fish and chips at home, only to be rung up by our daughter to ask where we were, as her and our son whose birthday it was were waiting for us up the Club to surprise us. Bugger again.
The reason for this Govt certificate is that people are trying to bribe Drs with up to $5,000 for a pass, Jees the bloody jab is free.

Re: Covid Vacs
It’s hard to see the problems In other parts Des. As have had no hardships as such in WA , touch wood. The worse I have seen here is about a total of a couple of weeks wearing a mask at various times. Although
have read about restrictions on funerals and weddings , and been to funerals during the pandemic saw no restrictions enforced as such. The amount of time you have spent wearing masks over there, would have thought by now , some enterprising young person would have a Red Ensign one on the market by now.? I just strolled into a medical centre and had the 2 shots of phz within 3 weeks, no panic queues or line up of cars put out on tv screens. There has been very little disruption here like is made out elsewhere ,only thing was which was emphases on tv early on was a shortage of toilet rolls , because people were stockpiling them by the info.they saw on tv screens . A good example of Panic. Hope they at least let you into the bottle shops. Cheers I’ll have one for you . JS
PS went down to our club house yesterday and things back to normal .Police have all camera footage. No money was stolen as all money is put in Safe and obviously too intelligent for the would be thieves , hope when caught they get years inside just for the criminal damage. The first thing is the law should be changed and hard labour at the very least brought back.Today most people think manual labour was a Spaniard and came in with the 10 pound poms. JS.

Re: Covid Vacs
Des, last year some claimed it was just like flue and will be all over in a few weeks,
Meanwhile, the Welsh Government has said today that there is a new strain of Covid
in Wales. It has already affected around 2,000 people and initial evidence suggests
it is more transmissible and making people more ill, though not at hugely increased
levels. It is being monitored.

Re: Covid Vacs
We have ex medical professionals on site. Do any know if German measles was an advance on the ordinary measles ? Would imagine an advance on Smallpox would be Bigpox , that never arose as far as I know. JS
