Re: ante covid vaccination
What's the vaccination situation in the UK just now ?. Total shambles over here , corrupt and incompenent government that keep on changing the rules
and always one step behind . Latest scandal is the fact that many health workers who should have been vaccinated were not - turns out that hospital
managers were done instead . Elderly people ( including me ) have no idea when their turn will be. Third world countries are better orginised.
End of rant.

Israel has now fallen behind because of lack of vaccines. However I always think that the Media is just out for headlines, usually derogatory for this country, comparing countries with a 60 million population with a country with 3 million population or less, the logistics of supply are totally different

#154 Do not lull yourself into a false sense of security John keep yourself safe. My friends wife is a doctors practice nurse . They gave the vaccine in a care home last week 4 residents died over the weekend with Covid. It takes weeks for you to build up immunity stay safe.

Re: ante covid vaccination
Brian, good luck, I am sure your son has advised you that it takes weeks to get the immunity benefit. see my#155. My nephew is a consultant hematologist
He says that hospitals are breeding grounds for Covid. He told me I am lucky that I did not catch Covid during my recent stay in Hospital, I am not out of the woods yet as for all I know I still may have covid as I am only out of hospital 5 days so there is still time. Thankfully I am feeling stronger every day. His advice is stay home and if possible remain in isolation even after my imposed 14 day period. I have the district nurse coming here on Monday to take bloods for my Kidney function tests but also to check what my INR levels are reading as I am now on Warfarin so that has to be stabilised. I would rather she did not come as no doubt she will have been in or around someone who will have Covid. People complain about being in Isolation moaning about this and that. Let's face it for seafarers Isolation is a doddle. I remember hearing a conversation a few months ago in a super market checkout. A man said to a girl who was standing to close to him in the queue could she stand further back please and could you put her mask on. Poor guy was in his late 70's I would have thought, She gave him a mouthful told him to eff off. Another guy had ago at her about her attitude and obviously was not going to take any lip from her. She just looked at this guy and said the mask will ruin my make up!! this bloke had the checkout in stitches . He just looked at and said trust me lady putting a mask on will improve your looks no end.
