Just a small word of Warning about Floaters Lads ,as most of them are not of much concern regarding after Cataract Surgery, you must be acrefull if you get Floaters a lot ,as these can indicate a Liver disorder and you should consult your Doctor on this .

Thanks Vernon, was told by my pharmacist that they are small pieces of protien that break away from the surface of the eye and are harmless.
never any mention of the liver!!

According to TCM, liver blood deficiency can cause problems such as blurry vision and other vision problems, short-sightedness (myopia), dry eyes or floaters in the eyes. Excess liver heat can cause painful, burning and bloodshot eyes.


Liver Blood Insufficiency – Liver blood is believed to nourish and moisten the eyes. When the liver blood is insufficient, common problems include hazy vision, myopia, and “floaters”  in the eyes, color visual impairment or dry eyes. In addition, liver blood deficiency can cause pale or scanty monthly cycle, weakness and muscle cramps.

All this is also associated with the Kidney Function.

A very good Tablet to take for the Eyes are Bilberry and Lutein , they will help he Eyes a lot if taken on a regular basis, use 3 Tablets a day.

I have a once a year full blood examination every October.

To date, apart from the Prostate diagnosis there has been no evidence of any Liver or kidney failings.

I take no regular medication, and only have a script for Nexium as required to control my Hiatus Hernia.

No two people will be the same, so will have different diagnosis, different reactions, there are so many variables in the human body, no one size fits all, people will have different symptoms even having had the same operation. Underlying health problems, height, weight, diet, drinking habits, mobility, age etc etc. you can only be guided by your own medical advisors, but not unwise to mention what others have experienced, tactfully! as some medical practicioners are very sensitive

Ivan, you are correct.
It is up to each individual to make sue they get the best medical advice they can on any subject.
When I had the Prostate Cancer back in 2013 I never even considered that my brother some 16 years my junior would have the same problem in 2014.

I try to eat well, exercise as much as I can, but of the greatest importance, keeping the brain active.
